I got Sother Teague’s I’m Just Here For The Drinks and devoured it. So much good stuff in there.

A lot of people like to get nervous about mixing spirits …but this cocktail proves gin & rye can be complimentary toward each other with the right “seasonings”.

This is one of many cocktails that jumped out at me from this book to make first. It’s somewhat of a signature of Amor y Amargo - created by Chris Elford that has traveled far & wide.

Sharpie Mustache
3/4 oz each:
-London dry gin
-100 proof rye whiskey
-Amaro Melitti
-Bonal Gentiane-Quina (I subbed Mattei Cap Corse Rouge - both are aperitif style aromatized wines with quina-quina aka quinine)
2 dashes Bittermens Elemakule Tiki bitters

Stir with ice and strain into a coupe - garnish with an orange twist.
